So I was thinking today that I need an interesting oneshot. So this idea popped into my head. I'm really liking this pairing because it seems so risky, and intense. Enjoy!
Caitlyn felt a warm hand grab hers, and saw that it was Shane, right before he pulled her into the edge of the dimly moonlit woods.
"Shane." She squeezed his hand.
"Caitlyn."
Shane placed a hard kiss on Caitlyn's lips, but she hesitated to kiss him back. He kissed her cheeks and her nose, and goose bumps were rising on her skin. He headed for her lips again, but she cut him off by putting her finger on his lips.
"Shane, I really don't think we should be doing this. Won't Mitchie be upset?" Caitlyn always thought of Mitchie first. She protected her friends fiercely, a trait she sometimes wished she didn't have.
Shane sighed. "No. But Caity, even if she did get upset, would it really matter? I'm pretty sure she has this thing for Nate now, anyway. I've caught her staring at him lately." Caitlyn swore she heard a hint of bitterness in his voice at the last few words.
"But- don't you still love her?" Caitlyn questioned.
"I thought I had from the beginning. But now it's pretty obvious that that's not what it is."
"Then why haven't you left her yet?"
Shane hesitated for a minute in the darkness and put his hand on Caitlyn's cheek. "I guess I'm trying to make it work. But it's not going to."
"But you're here with me, and you haven't left her yet, Shane! It's wrong!" Caitlyn's voice rose.
Shane nodded. "I know." He said quietly. "But I will. I will tell her it's over as soon as I get the chance.
Suddenly, they heard footsteps and hushed words. Shane pulled Caitlyn behind a tree, but they both managed to peek out without being seen.
Mitchie and Nate walked hurriedly, hand-in-hand down to the lake, both smiling, both happy. They looked happier than Shane and Mitchie ever had.
"Well, I'll tell her if she doesn't do it first. It's just not meant to be." Shane added quietly after Mitchie and Nate were out of sight. He wrapped his strong arms around Caitlyn and felt her relax against him.
"Besides, all I want now is you." He said sweetly.
Caitlyn turned around and reached up to brush his face with her hand.
"You know, you're really something, Shane Gray." She was positively beaming.
Shane answered with a kiss. And this time, Caitlyn didn't hold back one bit.
There you are! So please tell me what you thought in a review! Reviews make me smile a lot! :)
