Disclaimer: I don't own CSI. It belongs to...other people...
This takes place after Episode 7:2 - Built to Kill Part 2
Lindsay was safe now. That's all that mattered. Now Catherine was sitting in the locker room at CSI. Lindsay was safe at home, Catherine's mother was there with her, everything was going to be ok.
Warrick walked in to the locker room to see Catherine sitting on a bench in the locker room. Her head in her hands, her hair falling down around her. "Are you ok?" He asked her gently.
"I don't know." She responded. "Someone purposely crashed into my car, kidnapped my daughter, and I couldn't do anything but sit and watch, helplessly." Her voice was cracking, and her eyes were misted over with un-shed tears.
"Hey, hey now," Warrick said, kneeling down to be face to face with her, "Lindsay is fine, we got her, she's going to be ok. Your going to be ok."
A broken "Warrick" was all he head as he leaned over and pulled her into a hug, standing them both up in the processes. By now tear were freely running down her face. She was standing with her back to the lockers, her arms still wrapped around his neck.
He didn't know what came over him, one minute he was comforting an upset friend, the next they were wrapped in a passionate kiss. Hands were grasping, lips were sliding, her back was pressed against the lockers, he had his arms beside her head bracing himself against those same lockers.
As the kiss slowed, and they slowly pulled away, his forehead resting on hers. He looked into her eyes only to see that she was looking at something off to the side. His hand, more specifically the gold glinting off his middle finger. "Tina" was all she said, as she put her hand on his chest and gently pushed him away.
"Yeah" He said clearing his throat and standing up straight backing away a little. "I'm a, I'm going to go see if Hodges has anything for me about...yeah, ok, I'm just gonna go do that."
He walked out of the locker room toward the trace lab. Catherine watched him go and then turned around to get her stuff and go. She needed to check on Lindsay.
