A/N: Hey everyone! School is fast approaching, and I am sorry to say that I will not be updating much. There may be a possible oneshot here and there, but do not expect too much. I will continue to BETA for Talitha Koum and Ellie0223 for their Kingdom Hearts stories, though.

Anyway, this is my first anti-Sora/dark story, so I'm not real sure how it turned out. I hope you like it though!

Beautiful Agony

Piece by shattered piece
He's falling to the ground
He opens his lips to scream
But in this world, there is no sound
Time seems to stand still
And all he knows is pain
Liquid falls down his face
Both his tears and the rain
He wants to tell her goodbye
Anything just to see
That beautiful face one more time
In his beautiful agony

The realization was slow in coming, but once his frazzled, battle-torn brain grasped the concept, the impact slammed into his mind like a train. Lifting his forearms, he gazed blankly at the tiny, threadlike lines running under his pale skin.

They were black.

I'm tinged with the darkness… Those five words seemed to fully awaken his fear, and Sora let out a panicked cry. Then his mouth dropped open in astonishment at the fierce growl that had just escaped his lips. Sinking to his knees, a few tears slid down his cheeks.

The liquid burned. Not that it really mattered; rain was falling, and that burned too. Yet he lifted blue eyes to the stormy skies, watching as a hazy yellow film covered his vision.

Time seemed to stand still as he lay there, scalding darkness slowly but surely overtaking his body. As the substance reached new veins and new appendages, Sora felt his body gradually numbing to the outside world. He moaned in frustrated agony.

"Sora!" He could see her, standing just a few feet away. Instantly his animalistic urges quieted, but he still couldn't move. Limbs locked in place, he could only stare helplessly as his black-tinted body blended into the muddy ground. She didn't, couldn't, see him.

Kairi… he tried to move his lips to form the words, but there was only a soft little whimper. He tried to scream, the pain and anger reaching a new level; this time, there was no sound at all.

All he wanted was a chance to say goodbye, to feel her soft touch numbing the pain, even just a little. He saw her tired, defeated form slipping from view as immense waves of black blotted out even the golden slits of his eyes.

And then nothing. The anger, the frustration, Kairi—they were gone.

The agony was gone.

And it was beautiful.
