Kagome POV

So, this is what it all came down to, Naraku was defeated. Shikon Jewel held in my hands, everyone is waiting for me to make the wish. I already knew what wish I would make. I will miss my friends dearly, but they should have peace. Everyone is looking at me, trusting me to make the right wish.

"I wish, Kikyo had never found Onigumo." Everyone looks at me, shocked, has the jewel emits a purple light..

It feels warm, where am I? Slowly opening my eyes, all I see is pink mist, the ground under me is hard. Am I inside the Shikon Jewel?

"Kagome Higurashi, your wish was selfish." Whispers an angry female voice. I pull myself up from the ground.

"How was it selfish? I just wanted Inuyasha to be happy, for no one's lives to be ruined by Naraku!"

"How was it not? Why give up Inuyasha's heart?"

"Because, I love Inuyasha. "

"Because of your wish, Kikyo did not find Onigumo, instead a powerful demon, seeking the Jewel, who killed her."

My wish, I gave up everything, everyone. For nothing? Were Inuyasha and Kikyo truly never meant to be to together?

"That is not all. Once Inuyasha learned of her death, his demonic blood broke free. Without the Tetsusaiga nothing held him back. He killed everyone who came near, until Sesshomaru ended him. Sango was never born, before she could be, her village was destroyed by angry demons, who came together to defeat the demon slayers. Miroku was beheaded by bandits. Shippo's family was still killed, but when he went for revenge, he was eaten. You are no better than Naraku, you destroyed everyone's lives."

I didn't mean to. I thought I was helping everyone. Tears fall into the mist as I cry. This wasn't supposed to happen, it was supposed to be better. I need to get back to my own time, what did my wish do to my family?

"Kagome, your family does not exist. With no one to stop Kaguya, time became frozen. There is no world for you to return to."

I fall to my knees in the mist. This can't be real. This has to be a bad dream. I, with one wish destroyed everything?

Huh? I'm looking at a fire. The wind is blowing leaves across the campsite. But, didn't I just?

"Hey, Kagome, you okay?" Inuyasha shouts from the tree next to me. I nod my head yes, to shocked for words. This is the night before we faced Naraku, but how?

"Young miko, you have been given a second chance, use it wisely." The same voice from before comes from the wind.

I couldn't let the world just end, could I? I wanted to, but feh.

For those wondering, yes she was inside the jewel. I'll leave it to you to guess who the voice was.
