Clint slunk into his room, locked the door, and stripped down to his Iowa State boxers. He tip-toed across the room to his stereo, placed a CD in, turned the volume up, and pressed 'Play'.
Darren Criss' rendition of "It's Not Unusual" began to pour out from the speakers.
Now, Clint couldn't dance. He had two left feet, but he tried his hardest to impersonate Criss from the Glee episode Natasha had forced him to watch the night before (she had the remote). Criss was more dexterous and capable of flexing his legs to dancing like a fool, and it was pretty humorous to see a tough archer prancing around the room to a teeny-bopper song.
"It's not unusual to be loved by anyone," Clint began to sing. He was surprisingly on-key, and really shocked himself with how well he was doing. "It's not unusual to have fun with anyone but when I see you hanging about with anyone, it's not unusual to see me cry, oh I wanna' die." He heard the softest of footsteps come to rest at the door, and he changed his pitch, knowing Bruce was there and that this song was for him.
"It's not unusual to go out at any time," Clint continued, "but when I see you out and about it's such a crime. If you should ever want to be loved by anyone, it's not unusual it happens every day, no matter what you say. You find it happens all the time." Bruce was going to laugh, but he didn't want Clint to stop. It was too humorous and too cute for it to stop.
"Love will never do what you want it to; why can't this crazy love be mine?"
Bruce's hand itched to turn the doorknob, but he was going to give Clint a few more seconds. He paused and listened.
"It's not unusual, to be mad with anyone. It's not unusual, to be sad with anyone.
But if I ever find that you've changed at anytime, it's not unusual to find out that I'm in love with you, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh!" Clint was singing with the happiest grin on his face as Bruce picked the lock and entered, just as Clint made a gracious jazzy turn to face the new person in the room. His cheeks faintly blushed, and he fumbled around on the floor for his pants as the joyous tune came to a close.
"Clint, that was great," Bruce laughed. Clint bashfully thanked him and put his pants back on.
"Was that for me?"
Clint stifled a cackle and said yes. Bruce kissed him on his forehead and said, "You did great." Clint was nearly in shock.
He actually kinda appreciated Glee a bit more now.
