A/N: Just a short poem I wrote on my favorite NCIS character: Tony, and his complex feelings for Jeanne. This is the first thing I've written for NCIS, one of my fave shows, and I'm hoping to write more in the future, hopefully fics & stories. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.
Just when you thought it was okay,
To turn around again,
Turns out you were wrong,
She's there like a bad memory.
There's so much you want to say but,
Everything seems to get in the way,
So much pain aren't you better than this,
You think you were just dreaming.
Your boss thinks you're fine,
That's just cause he cannot know,
How beat up you really are inside,
And that's okay with you.
Your ego's bruised and every time,
Ziva squints in her way at you,
You wonder if she can tell,
Prophesize that you're about to spill.
You scream her name inside your twisted dreams,
Listen to those words play over on repeat,
Oh how I wish I never would've met you,
I know I wish it too cause I don't deserve you.
You loved her even though you lied to her,
Despite that word no you know,
There will never be any other girl,
Like her.
Sweet bitter happiness around every corner,
Till reality pushes good days away,
And you're back again inside this hopeless world,
You feel like you're not worth a damn thing.
