Title: Learning to Fly
Rating: NC-17
Prompt: "Kitty!Blaine lives near this magical garden and he meets Kurt the nymph, and he stars chasing him around because he's the prettiest thing Blaine has ever seen and soon becomes his protector from mean garden snakes and birdies."
N/A: Well, I haven't written anything, ever. It was prompted by Andrea on WhatsApp based of the kittenboy!Blaine madness, since I love my friends and this was originally meant for them… I kinda included them in this, so yes.
The best thing about being a kitty, Blaine decided, was sunbathing.
It was part of his everyday routine: waking up, stretching, drinking milk, licking himself clean, going to his human to be patted and going outside to sunbathe. So here he was, stretched on the grass exploring the garden with his big hazel eyes, watching and listening carefully everything that moved around him and then he felt something coming. A fluttering. His sensitive ears perked as it came closer and closer until it stopped right in front of him but not near enough for him to distinguish anything but a set of wings.
"A butterfly," he whispered in wonder.
Or at least that's what he thought, he had seen pictures and heard it on the TV but he never came across one. Until now, that was. He got on his four tiny kitty legs and tried to be as sneaky as possible because he didn't want to scare the butterfly off and so he kept walking until he was at a good distance and noticed it was quite tall for a butterfly but then again, he had never actually seen one so he figured that's how they were. Just as he was about to grab it, the butterfly took off.
"Oh, bother…" the kitty hissed rather annoyed.
Since he could not reach that high and he obviously could not fly, he chased it all the way outside the garden until noticed he had ended in the park across his owner's house. He never went there alone because the neighbour's dog was always around and he wasn't quite fond of Blaine.
It's not like I care, he thought, but deep down he did care because he liked everyone and he wanted everyone to like him.
He spotted the butterfly once again flying over some flowers and he could make out that its wings were really bright yellow with neon blue around the edges as he got closer, he also noticed that the butterfly looked like a really tiny version of his owner which was weird because he didn't remember them looking like that but maybe there were all kind of butterflies.
"Hello!" he shouted trying to get the butterfly's attention. The butterfly looked around quite startled until it spotted Blaine, who was jumping up and down trying to watch it, the only thing the kitty got from the butterfly was an ice-cold stare and it went flying straight to a big hole there was lying next to a huge old tree.
"Well, that was rude…" Blaine sighed as curiosity got the best of him so he went into the hole as well.
After entering the deep hole, he came across a really dark forest, covered by really tall plants that only had tiny streaks of sunlight peeking through the bushes forming some sort of path. He thought about turning and going back to his much nicer and comfortable garden but then he heard the flutter of wings again at the end of the path and that made him curious again. Slowly making his way through it and looking around to be sure nothing was coming out to eat or scare him, he made it to the end of the path.
What Blaine found next left him gawking in surprise; it was the prettiest place he'd ever seen. It was surrounded with flowers of all colours and kinds and the grass extended beyond a really tall hill, he continued to look around for a while coming to the conclusion he'd never been to this part of the park before.
