This poem was one heck of a fun one to write! It was just so enjoyable to pick out different aspects of the Sonic games to include in the poem!
A blitz poem has many set rules, but it's really not as complicated as the description implies. It does not include rhyming, and has 48 lines. It starts off with a short expression, can be a cliché. Then, the next line starts with the first word of the first line. Then, the next two lines have the last word of the previous line as its first word, and so forth. The 49th line has the last word of the 48th line, and the 50th and final line has the last word of the 47th line. Even the title itself has standards- it has to be the first word of the 3rd line, followed by a one-word preposition or conjunction, then you add the last word of the 47th line.
Again, this poem type is deceptively simple, so I hope I haven't described in a way that makes it seem confusing or complicated.
Fast Beyond Unchanging
Take it slow
Take it fast
Fast like the wind
Fast like sound
Sound off
Sound off for the right
Right the wrong
Right the broken
Broken spirits are few
Broken hearts are plenty
Plenty of sorrow
Plenty of forgiveness
Forgiveness is subtle
Forgiveness is necessary
Necessary is truth
Necessary is lies
Lies are abundant
Lies are discovered
Discovered are the winning
Discovered are the losing
Losing lives
Losing rings
Rings hold life
Rings hold keys
Keys open doors
Keys open paths
Paths lead to many
Paths lead to one
One can save us all
One can destroy us all
All of us are a team
All of us are individuals
Individuals form needs
Individuals form wants
Wants are poison
Wants are devastating
Devastating is betrayal
Devastating is truth
Truth is questionable
Truth is definite
Definite is a lie
Definite always changes
Changes are inevitable
Changes are imminent
Imminent is danger
Imminent is hope
Hope is friendship
Hope is unchanging
Unchanging...
Friendship...
