I was tired and I was pretty sure that I was coming down with something. All I wanted to do was get home crawl into bed and sleep but of course that was too much to ask for.
"Give me your bag and your jewelry now!" yelled the man with the gun pointed at me.
It took me a while to process what was going on. In all the years I lived in Metropolis, I took the same walk home and I had never been mugged.
"..And they said crime rate was lower" I mumbled as I took off my Movado watch and handed him my new Prada bag. I gave a sigh of impatience because now I would have to call my credit card companies before crawling into bed.
But fortunately I was saved when I heard a voice behind me.
"I think the lady would like her things back." Suddenly the man turned and ran but he was no match for superman.
He ran straight into his chest and superman didn't even flinch. My mugger then proceeded to turn around and give me back my Movado watch and Prada bag.
I gave the mugger a smirk and smiled at superman. "Thank you" I said.
"No problem Miss". He then proceeded to grab the mugger and flew away with him in tow.
I can only imagine that he took him to the police. If I would ever see superman again I would have to thank him from saving me from a bundle of phone calls.

"So you where saved by Super hombre?" said Lucy the following morning at breakfast.
Lucy and I have been friends since high school. We went to the same university and after we lived together until we could establish ourselves in the real world.
"Yup"
"Did you give him a tip?"
I laughed and looked up from my plate, that's when I noticed the cute guy looking at me. He was about 6'4", had incredible blue eyes, brown hair, and wore glasses.
We made eye contact and he smiled showing his beautiful smile. I smiled back.
"Go over there" I heard Lucy whisper.
I tore my eyes away from him and looked over at Lucy.
"Maybe another day" I replied.
"Seriously, he's cute and you are looking flirty, go flirt with him Ava."
I glanced up at him again. He was reading the paper; maybe I would go sit with him. What harm could it do?
Lucy got up, "I'm leaving, have fun being a stalker."
"Ha ha goodbye."
She left and I decided to have another cup of coffee and admire the view.
Review but no flames please. Oh and can anybody guess who the man in the coffee shop is?
