Kneeling over her broken, lifeless body wishing things had gone differently, when the ambulance came I wouldn't move, they asked pointless questions and I mumbled questions, still knelt over Nora. When they lifted her off in a stretcher I followed desperate to stay close…

I woke with a start, not knowing where I was. Then I looked deep into the eyes of Patch's face and let a smile sneak onto my face, then he blurred and I slept again.
