mdchan or Nikki,

From one Aspie to another, I can tell you that not all is lost in this country, (even though so many allover the world are saying that). I say this because the comic strips you've drawn and stories you've shared have shown me that Human decency is not a lost cause. When I was a kid in elementary school, I felt like all I knew was pain, anger, and hatred because I was so different from anyone else: this made me the perfect target for bullies left and right. Even the teachers and staff were near useless because nobody knew how to deal with me. Then after the 5th Grade we moved away: I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was 11, but still most of my feelings were still pretty dark towards everyone and everything that tormented my nightmares, only this time I was different for a physical/psychological reason.

When I was in high school, my mom started dating a man with Aspergers: that was the first time in my life that I realized I wasn't alone. But it wasn't until much later that I began learning about autism and, for the moment, my knowledge is still far from perfect; nevertheless I'm still learning and it's largely because of you! Your tireless devotion to raise Autism awareness and acceptance has been the bright light for people like us when all things are dark in the world. You inspire and encourage in us and others that compassion, tolerance, and understanding are more than just words, they are what separates the Human from the degenerate. You are the light for those with ASD and more. You are the beacon of hope when there is nothing else but despair. You are the KNIGHT OF THE SPECTRUM!

Your fan and fellow Aspie,
