Chapter One

Green fields forever ending filtered across his mind and the clouds simply melted away into the darkness taking all of his troubles away and there was nothing but clear blue skies. Unfortunately the solitude was of his calm mind was rudely interrupted when Carson suddenly felt a sharp pain across the top of his head as a bantos rod was slammed upon him. He awoke with a start to see Taylor strutting around the medium lighted gym gripping a bantos rod that Ronan usually used in her left hand.

"What was that for?" Carson groaned clutching the top of his head with his hands.

"As I said before if you fall asleep during meditation I'll hit you over the head with a bantos rod" Taylor replied with a slight grin to her face.

"Very funny! Sparring time?" he joked looking upon his watch

"Oh definitely!" Taylor replied tossing a pair of bantos rods over to Carson, who managed to catch them without looking which left Taylor quite pleased as he was doing exceptionally better that she thought he would given his job description.

"You seem to be acquiring quite a passion for this Carson and you are getting rather fast" he proudly said preparing to attack Carson.

"Well I've got a good mentor but I'm still unable to win a sparring match against Ronan" he said instantly blocking Taylor's attack.

Whilst Carson and Taylor were continuing their sparring match the door opened to reveal Sheppard and McKay who were completely oblivious to the fact that Carson had been taking sparring lessons that had now turned into sparring sessions.

"Well this is new" Sheppard joked sounding an awful lot like General O'Neill in the process.

"Ah well it's just a hobby" Carson said not taking his eyes off Taylor as she battled towards another attack that sadly failed as Carson managed to block it.

"Colonel Dunham's team just returned from M7R – 667. They have found another one of of Michael's labs" Sheppard informed Carson.

"Send a science team then" Carson said trying to ignore them as best as he could and at least attempt to win this fight.

"We think it would be more beneficial if you came with us"

"Why's that?" Carson asked his face growing evermore impatient as Taylor was trying to use the distraction in order to get him on the ground but she was going to be in for a shock. They continued as McKay finally started talking.

"Because it looks very similar to the lab that you, Sheppard and Major Teldy found last year"

Carson averted his gaze and gave Taylor the opportunity she had been waiting for but unfortunately she wasn't quick enough as Carson came back harder and faster resulting in Taylor losing one of her bantos rods but that didn't stop her from offering a leg kick that Carson managed to counteract with a kick of his own that Taylor wasn't expecting and she fell onto the gym floor breathing heavily but smiling with the way Carson had progressed.

Giving his hand to her he did the honourable thing and helped her up. She gathered her things and decided to go back to her quarters leaving Carson in front of a shocked Sheppard and Dr McKay.

"What?" Carson asked at the staring spectators.

"Nothing. I just never thought you would be interested in this" McKay replied with a surprised look on his face.

"Like I said it's a hobby" Carson exclaimed grasping his stuff together. "So what was this about one of Michael's Labs then?" Carson asked excitedly?
