"I suppose I could meet you after my shift, Lily, but I think Diagon Alley shuts before I finish...maybe you could come round here?"

"Yeah, I guess so...why don't I meet you at St. Mungo's, though? We could go for coffee somewhere."

"No, you're pregnant. You need to rest." I see Sirius enter the flat out of the corner of my eye. I pretend I haven't seen his entrance and ignore him. Serves him right for rarely being here.

"Cass, you're no fun now. And yes, as you assume, I am pouting." Lily replies.

"Aww, poor baby...am I being a big, boring grown-up?" I tease her. Sirius walks up behind me, trapping me in a bear hug, then turns me around to face him, looking slightly rejected at my lack of response.

"Yes, you're a big, fat, mean old grown-up who forgets what it was like to be a kid." Lily plays along.

"Mhmm..." I smile as Sirius wraps his arms around my waist, looking at me with a wounded look, in an impatient manner. I try to wiggle away from him, but he's too stubborn to let go.

"Will you forgive me if I give you a lollipop?" I continue to talk to Lily, smirking at Sirius.

"Maybe..." She laughs. Sirius snatches the phone out of my hand and talks into the receiver,

"Hey, Lily, sorry to be an ass and cut this conversation short, but as you know, I haven't seen my darling girlfriend in ages, and we have some catching-up to do. Cass'll phone you back tomorrow. Bye!" He smirks at me, placing the phone on the worksurface behind me, out of my reach. I look up at him, glaring angrily, "That was uncalled for."

"No, was necessary. You pay Lily more attention than me."

"Well, maybe if you weren't god-knows-where doing god-knows-what, we could spend more time together."

"Cassie, don't start that again. You know I can't tell you." He frowns, looking anywhere but directly at me.

"Can't or won't?"

"You know I'd tell you if it wasn't so dangerous." He looks me in the eye pleadingly.

"Fine." I sigh, knowing I'm not getting a straight answer out of him anytime soon. He pulls me closerto him, giving me a genuine smile before muttering, "I've missed you so much."

"Sssh...I've missed you too. Now quit it. You sound like such a girl."

"Oh thanks," He says sarcastically, then pauses, "you're so beautiful."

"Now, you're just saying that to get into my pants."

"Damn, you've figured out my game. But can you blame me for trying?"

"Manipulative git." I whisper and kiss him. Not that he is, but after a month of unwilling celibacy, our sex life could do with some livening up.

"Yeah...but it's worked." He shruggs, and with seemingly effortless strength, picks me up.

"You should be a fireman." I muse, "then again, maybe not."

"A fire-what?" He looks at me in confusion.

"They're muggles who save people from fires."

"Riiight...bedroom sound good to you?" He asks, to which I nod in reply, "bedroom it is, then!"

Yes, I suppose you could say we had a lot to catch up on...

Disclaimer: Regrettably, Sirius Black is not mine. [oh, but he will be, one day he will! Mwhahaha! He is the creation and property of J.K.Rowling, as is Lily Evans and the rest of Potterverse. I am merely a fan of her books and enjoying writing fan-fiction about Harry Potter, mainly the Marauders era, because Remus and Sirius are 'teh smex' [to quote my good friend Steph. Cass/Cassie/Cassandra, however, is my own creation and should not be used without my express permission, or I'll set my Italian mafia frogs onto you.
