At Kaiba Mansion, the day before Halloween . . .

"No, Mokuba, we are not going."

"Come on, Ni-sama. It'll be fun!" Mokuba was referring to the festive Halloween invitation they had received in the mail. Before Kaiba had a chance to stop it, he had snatched up the card. Mail didn't usually come to KaibaCorp in bright orange envelopes.

"If you want to go out trick-or-treating, I'll take you. But we are not going to Pegasus' party." And knowing him, it would be more than just a party. Pegasus never did anything normally.

"I'm a little too old for trick-or-treat, Seto." Kaiba merely nodded.

"Good, then it's settled. And I can get back to work."

"Guess so," Mokuba responded, dully but obediently. Then he had a sudden inspiration, a rather devious one. "Bet Yugi will be there . . ." he continued slyly.

"And what exactly is that supposed to mean?" his older brother snapped.

"Nothing," Mokuba feigned surprise. "Just thought, that, you know . . ."

"What?" Kaiba asked, even more angry.

"Well, you might get to duel him." There were a few seconds of tense silence before Seto sighed and responded.

"Nice try, Mokuba, but I'll pass. I have too much work to do." With that, he tossed the invitation into the trash. Mokuba shrugged and left; he knew how to tell when he had lost the battle. Seto focused back on his computer. About five minutes later, he reached back into the waste basket by his desk, bringing back out a small orange envelope.

Meanwhile, at the Kame Game Shop . . .

"And because I absolutely adore a challenge, there will be a little game involved." Yugi was reading off his invitation, while Joey, Tristan, Tea, and Duke looked on, though they had received invitations as well. "I wonder what he means by game?"

"Er, Duel Monsters, maybe?" Tristan asked, a little sarcastically.

"Well, duh," Joey responded.

"I don't know, if it was a Duel Monsters tournament, wouldn't Pegasus just say that?" Tea suggested intelligently.

"Tea's right. This is Pegasus we're talking about."

"Uh, you're not thinking about going, are ya, Yug?" Joey seemed concerned

"I don't know Joey. It might be fun, and its not like he has the Millennial Eye."

"Yeah, but I still don't trust him," Duke argued.

"If we all go together, we should be able to get through anything. Because we're friends . . ." Everyone sighed and tried, inconspicuously to get more comfortable in preparation for another speech.

And at whatever strange place insect and dinosaur geeks hang out . . .

"Are you going?"

"Are you going?"

"I asked you first."

"Yeah, but I'm older."

"So?"

"Well, it doesn't matter if you come, because I'm going to win anyway."

"You and your pesky little bugs don't stand a chance against me, Weevil."

"So you are going." Weevil leaned back in the chair with his arms crossed.

"I didn't say that," Rex stated angrily. "I meant if I decided to go. Which I haven't. It'll probably be boring anyway."

"Yeah, I've got another party that will be more fun anyway."

"Bet the game will be dull, whatever it is."

"Pegasus probably just said that to get us to come. Bet there isn't even a prize."

"Yeah." Rex suddenly jumped up out of his seat and started to leave.

"Hey! Where are you going?"

"Um, homework?"

"No, you're not. I think you're going to get ready to go to the party." Weevil now got up and followed after him.

"So what if I am?" Rex began to run faster; Weevil started running faster to keep up with him.

"You're going to lose."

"Not a chance, Bug Boy."

"I've got a better one than you, Dinosaur Breath!"

"Dinosaur what?"
