Breathe

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

The first time he sees her because she is so damn beautiful and radiant and vibrant and bright and free.

The Exact opposite of him.

For he was grey, rusty, eclipsed and chained.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

The first time he hears she was gone.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

Everday while fighting, in hope he'd return back to find her, he'd find her waiting for him, where she'd tell him everything would be alright, where he'd get drowned in her blue eyes.

He keeps fighting for this foolish hope, ever inattainable, so near, in sight yet untangible, as though pursuing the horison, hoping to reach it out.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

For, He can't forget her, yet she is slowly fading away, he remembers her aura, he remembers strong angelic blue eyes and blonde hair, he remembers how her voice put him at ease, the serenity and calmness oozing through her voice, the rare delicate tenderness of her voice, the soft strength of silk, yet he can't seem to utterly remember the voice itself.

He sees a glimpse of her in those girls he meets, yet he can't find someone like her and it is hard to breathe.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

Everday still, for it is such a toil when you are surrounded by happiness and light and people wishing you would spare them a glance yet you are so wrapped up in loneliness and guilt and yearning and you can't seem to stop sipping from an already empty glass.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

Because as much as he hates to and wants to stop, she was strong and she loved the ever defying, ever strong him and he has to remain that way for the sake of her, not him.

He keeps telling himself to breathe,

Because when he finally stopped breathing despite of him, and found her in front of him, he was so enthralled by how beautiful and how vivid she still looked after all those years.

He couldn't breathe,

When he finally heard the voice he couldn't remember yet never forgot

"I missed you, Gale"

"Same, Madge"
