"There's only us....."
Roger and Mimi entered the loft laughing, hugging and kissing. Roger lifted her up and twisted around the living- room.
"...there's only this..."
They knew that these might be their last days together, for Mimi was getting weeker each day. They didn't care! They wanted to enjoy their last week, days....or hours....
"...forget regret..."
They fell onto the sofa and kissed each other gently. From the moment they met, they had fallen in love and they needed each other more than anything else.
"...or life is your's to miss!"
Mimi started breathig heavily. She had felt it the whole day, and now she knew it. Her desise had won. Her wonderfull time with Roger would end now.
"No other path,..."
Roger's eyes widened as he lay Mimi down on the floor and started talking with her, telling her how special he was to him and how happy she'd be where ever she would go.
"...no other way....."
Mimi closed her eyes. Her breathing became quiet and smooth. It stopped. Roger hugged the lifeless body of his beloved Mimi and whispered gentle words that she would never get to hear. Sobbing he broke down over Mimi.
"....No day but today!"
