"Eureka Revisited"
Ch. 1
A/N:
So, here is part 2 of the Eureka/Stargate Atlantis crossover I did. I reread part one and decided to go ahead with it.Disclaimer:
I don't own Stargate Atlantis or Eureka. If I did I already would have my car I've been saving for and I would have finally taken my dream vacation to Ireland. I do own Isabella and the plot.Spoilers:
The Last Man of SGA.Timeline:
Happens during "The Last Man" from season 4 of SGA and sometime between "Unpredictable" and "Games People Played" from season 2 of Eureka.(Atlantis, Infirmary)
Isabella could be found sitting at her desk in the Infirmary. She was in her pajama's and was in the middle of her third and final Trimester. Her short auburn hair was in two small pigtails. Her husband stood at the doorway and folded his arms.
"Dr. Keller told you to be taking it easy," Sheppard told her.
He was dressed in his full off-world gear. Isabella grinned sheepishly.
"I had to stretch my legs and I needed to get some work done," she said.
He walked over to her and sighed. John kneeled down to her level and kissed her gently on the lips. He then, picked her up and carried her back to bed.
(Eureka, Smart House)
Now, Isabella stood in front of a rusty old door. She put down her two pieces of luggage, rang the doorbell, then leaned on the large suite case and waited for Carter to open the door. Isabella sighed and rubbed her pregnant belly. She was so tired, both physically and emotionally.
"Hey," Jack greeted when he opened the door. "Wow. Your huge!"
The tears that had been fighting back throughout the entire trip from Pegasus to earth had finally come. Isabella burst into tears. It was like turning on a water faucet. She immediately went into Jack's arms and covered her face completely in his chest.
"Dad!"
"Jack!"
Isabella recognized the first voice as Zoe's. The second voice she hadn't recognized. When Isabella wiped her face and finally stopped crying Jack said,
"Not that I'm not glad to see you or anything but, we weren't expecting you for another couple of days."
She didn't get the chance to answer right away. Zoe went over and hugged her.
"Your e-mail said you were pregnant, but you didn't say how far along you were," Zoe told her.
Isabella wiped her tears away and cleared her throat.
"I was on one of the rare trips on the Daedalus where nothing exciting happened on the way here," she told Jack and Zoe.
"Is that some sort of new train or something?" the unfamiliar women asked.
"Sure. We'll call it that," Isabella said slowly.
Isabella and Zoe's eye's met. The older women winked at the teenager and Zoe turned away, trying to hide her broad grin.
"I'm Dr. Abby Carter," the woman introduced herself.
She held out a hand. Isabella took it.
"Dr. Isabella Sheppard," Isabella introduced herself.
"Doctor?" Abby asked. She turned to Jack and said to him, "Boy, there sure are a lot of Doctors around here."
"Well, I'm also a Lt. Colonel. Does that make you feel any better?" Isabella said, going over to the couch and making herself comfortable.
"A bit," Abby confessed.
"When did the promotion happen?" Jack asked her, putting his hands on his hips.
Zoe looked sheepishly at her father, sitting down with Isabella.
"I thought I told you," she told him.
"Right before I got pregnant," Isabella answered Jack. She then added, rubbing her pregnant belly, "In celebration, I get knocked up."
Abby gave a fake cough, breaking the awkward silence that had followed Isabella's last comment. Zoe suddenly hopped up from the couch and announced,
"I'll get your stuff upstairs,"
"I'll help," Abby offered, following her daughter.
Jack went to sit down across from Isabella, on the coffee table.
"What happened, really?" he asked.
She took in a deep breath before saying,
"John was sent into the future," she began. "Through a freak accident with the Stargate and a solar flare."
To be continued . . .
