I watch him from across the room. My new husband. Percy Weasely. I had a slight smile on my face as i see him talking to his parents.

"Hermione."

I look over to the person speaking. "Ron. Its good you came." I leaned over and gave him a one armed hug.

"Yeah..." he hesitated, as if trying to force out some thought. "Hermione what do you see in him? He's a prat. He left his family for no reason at all."

That made me angry. "Ronald. What I see in Percy isn't really any of your business. But if you must know I see a good man. A man who any woman would be lucky to have."

He scoffed at that. "Really?"

"Yes, really. I see a good man. Loyal and trustworthy. Who will stand up for what he believes in. Stand up for you when you need him to. Defend and fight for you if needs be. I see a brave man who is afraid to let to many people close. But who cares so much for the people in his life. Especially his family. You saw his reaction at Hogwarts." He knew i was talking about Fred. It was still a sore topic even five years after his death. Percy had been devastated when Bellatrix had shot a killing curse and killed him. "Percy killed her. Without even so much as a second thought as to his own safety. I see a man who stands up for himself. I have to admire that."

I noticed how Ron's eyes had lost all anger when i mentioned Fred. I continued with my rant anyway. "I don't care what you think of him quite frankly. He was their for me when no one else was. When my parents were killed in that horrific car accident. When you cheated on me. Don't pretend it isn't true-he's a good man."

"I love you Hermione." I turned to see Percy standing behind me. The biggest smile on his face, as he had apparently heard everything i had just said.

"I love you too." I was blushing. even after all this time together he could still make me fluster and studder.

"Hermione, i'm sorry." It made me slightly embarrassed that I had forgotten Ronald was even standing their. I turned back to him while taking Percy's hand in mine and pulling him close to my side.

"Just forget it. I'm tired of trying to be friends with you just because you're Percy's brother. I'm tired of defending myself. Please just move on. We only dated for three months and you cheated. I left you, but it was your own fault. But I must thank you for hurting me. If it weren't for you I wouldn't have found happiness with my new husband." i was smiling at Percy by the end. We turned away from Ron without a backwards glance.

"You didn't have to do that you know. But i'm glad you did. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you."

"I meant every word. What woman wouldn't want a man like you?" I kissed him then. It had just started to get heated when Molly came up and told us that it was time to leave. We were taking a muggle airplane for honeymoon. We were going to the states to get away from everything for a while. No interruptions. Just us.

"Thank you Molly. For everything. This wedding wouldn't have been half as nice if i hadn't had your help." I gave her a full hug. One I hadn't deemed Ron worthy of.

"Your more than welcome dear. We love you both. I just want you to know that." We pulled away from the hug then, and i saw the happy tears in her eyes.

"We'll see you when we get back. Promise."

She laughed. "Go before you miss your... Oh, before your late." She had forgotten the name of the 'muggle contraption'.

And with that Percy walked me to the apperition point just beyond the property of the yard.
