I literally wrote this in about half an hour, so its not the best. And I know the ending sucks but I just needed to get some Linstead out of my system. If you have any prompts please feel free to send me them :)
Erin sat on her couch with a beer in her hand, thinking about their latest case. It had been a tough day and all she wanted to do was curl up in her bed and sleep.
A knock on her door interrupted her thoughts.
"Probably trick or treaters" She sighed as she picked up her candy bowl and walked to the door.
"Trick or Treat" he said leaning against her door frame grinning.
"Jay….what are you doing here?" She asked smirking gazing up and down at his costume. He was dressed as Batman, the tight suit framed his well-built muscles perfectly.
"Why are you alone on Halloween? And why aren't you dressed up? Ruzek's having a party and I'm not going without you"
"I don't have a costume" She stated
"I figured you would say that" He said as he stepped into her apartment. "I brought you one"
Erin let out a small laugh. "Did you now? And what would it be exactly?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"You're the Robin to my Batman" He said simply. "But don't worry, I got you the female version of the costume, skirt and all" He grinned.
"I don't wear skirts"
"Well tonight you do. I've already bought the costume, I can't return it now!" Jay said "And you owe me anyway, I brought you coffee this morning"
Erin rolled her eyes and grabbed the costume out of his hands. She slipped into the costume and was very aware of how short the skirt was. She pulled it down as far as possible, attached her cape and put on a pair of knee high boots. She pulled her hair out of her bun and allowed her loose curls to fall to her shoulders. She took once last glance in the mirror and sighed before stepping back into her living room.
"I'm not sure this is a good idea" Erin remarked.
Jay turned to her and tried to stop his mouth from falling open. "Wow" He said. "You know you look hot right?"
Erin shook her head laughing and walked towards the kitchen counter to pick up her phone.
"You know you're missing part of your costume?" Jay asked taking a step towards her.
"Huh? What did I miss?"
He picked up a black mask from the sofa and slowly placed it onto her face, his hands lingering a few extra seconds on her skin.
"Perfect" He said quietly. Erin cleared her throat and grinned.
"The things I do for you Jay Halstead. I am never going to hear the end of this skirt."
"I think I picked well" He said looking into her eyes "I wouldn't want anyone else to be my partner in crime"
Erin smiled softly. "Neither would I" A moment passed and Erin broke the silence by picking up Jay's keys. "You may be Batman, but you're still not driving"
"Well, technically Robin is the sidekick, and Batman is in charge…so in this relationship you have no say. And I'm driving" Jay smirked pulling the keys out of Erin's hands before she could protest. "Let's go, we're already late"
He placed his arm around her shoulders and led her out of her apartment. They walked to his car huddled for warmth, both smiling because they were getting to spend the night together, and both secretly wishing for their one day to happen.
