"...A massive-scale genjutsu, reflecting my own eyes from the Moon's surface. The Infinite Tsukuyomi. I will cast my genjutsu upon all humans living upon the Earth's surface! Controlling all of humanity within that genjutsu, I will become one with the world!"
All present went silent with shock. The magnitude of such a scheme...!
"It will be a world without hatred or conflict. Everything will be-"
"JUST ONE MOMENT!" The Raikage jabbed a finger at the masked man. "HOLD UP! I'VE GOT JUST ONE QUESTION HERE!"
The masked man was silent for a moment, then jerked his head. "Very well. Make it quick."
"You realize the world's a globe, right?"
The masked man blinked, then gave a curt nod. "Do you take me for an imbecile? Insolent fool..." He cleared his throat. "As I was saying... Everything will be one w-"
"So only half the Earth can see the moon at once, you fool!"
The masked man froze.
"Damn, have you been living in a cave or something? Don't you realize the moon isn't always visible in the sky?"
The masked man was utterly silent.
"So you're one with half the world at any one time! And wait, that assumes you're on the side facing the moon, too! Unless you're planning to be constantly running around the world to keep up with it, you'll spend half the time just standing around and waiting for it to come into view again, so you can actually pull your crazy eye-reflection trick!"
The masked man's visible eye twitched.
"I think you are stupid! You've gone to all this trouble of running Akatsuki, gathering the Tailed Beasts, and getting all up in everyone's business - and for what? For a plan you didn't spend ten seconds thinking through, you fool!"
There was silence for a full minute. At its end, the masked man reached up, his hands shaking, and carefully removed his mask.
A moment later, he whipped a hand back over his shoulder and sent the mask flying. "Fuck you, Madara!" he screamed as it smacked into the wall. "Fuck you, you senile old man! Fuck you! I fucking quit!"
Those were the last words he spoke before disappearing in a swirl of warped space-time.
