"YES!" I yelled "YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!" my adoptive sister Ruby and I had been accepted into one of the most prestigious combat schools in Remnant, Beacon Academy! And two years early just because we fended off some dust robbers! This has got to be the best day of my life! I was going to be a Hunter, going to fight Grimm, going to be a hero like my parents! I got dressed, quickly debated whether or not to hide my fox ears under a hat, then decided better of it. I would not be ashamed of my Faunus heritage. I packed my bags, and grabbed my weapon (an ice pick that folds into a sawed-off shotgun that I call Harmony's Edge). "This is gonna be AWESOME!" I said. I ran into Ruby's room, threw a pack of cookies at her and yelled "WAKE UP! And wake up Yang, too!" and promptly ran out the door. Ever since my parents died, Yang and Ruby have been my family. I could hardly believe it! I, Sky Hyacintho was going to Beacon! I made a promise to myself that I was going to succeed. As a Faunus, I had to work extra hard to prove myself. We said goodbye to their parents and then left. I was so focused on being happy that I almost ran into the street, but Yang pulled me back and said, "Whoa, little bro! Slow down. we don't wanna lose ya!" we waited for the light to change, then ran to the airship dock. as soon as we got there we spotted the Beacon airship. It was huge! People were boarding already. We got in line and boarded, barely containing our excitement. There were so many interesting people. Ruby was there next to me wearing her red hood and cloak carrying her beloved scythe, Crescent Rose. Yang, who was much taller, was next to her with her huge mane of bright yellow hair and golden bracelets (actually shotgun gauntlets called the Ember Celica) on both her wrists. There was a blond boy in armor with a sword strapped to his belt (he looked about ready to puke his guts out at the sight of how high the airdocks were) Suddenly, the speakers came on and announced that we were ready to take off. The ship pulled away from the airdocks and drifted into open sky. "Woah." I said, in awe of the landscape under us. "Yup." said Yang, "Although the view isn't for everyone." she gestured to the sick boy, who had well and truly had enough and messily discharged the contents of his stomach on the airship's deck. "Augh. that's just NASTY!" Ruby and I said in unison.
