NEW MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM DIVINE
PROLOGUE
A.D. 2025. Eighteen years have passed since the Earth's nations began the construction of gigantic space colonies. With almost 74 of the human race emigrating to space, only a few have remained on Earth, living their normal lives. Also, the Earth is protected by the United Earth Alliance, intergrated by the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Russia, China, South Korea, Thailand, India, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Kenya, Angola, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Panama, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. They all work for their mutual interests, though there is some mistrust between the US and Russia.
Fossil fuels have been replaced by Electrical Energy, while three orbital elevators are being constructed; one in Carpentaria, which is built by Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China and the US; in Lake Victoria, which is being financed by Kenya, Russia, Germany, Italy, Zaire, and South Africa; and Panama, which is being near the Panama canal and is being financed by the US, Panama, Brazil, and Canada. It seemed as the world would be perfect for now on, but it wouldn't; acluster of colonies in L5, which were grouped and known as CROSSES (Calibrated ResOurce Side SEnder Sovereignties) proclaimed their independence, led by peaceful independentist leader Zeon Von Schubert. But Schubert was assassinated by US Delta Force soldier Rafael Pollack. His place as leader was taken by his son, Wilhelm Von Schubert, who declared the CROSSES as the Federation of Zeon, and war against the Earth Alliance, their antagonists.
War started in 2024, and Zeon has the upper hand, while the EA has lost half of its population. It seems, even after a year and a half, with no end in sight.
