Chapter 1 Lost
Jasper pov
Tossing the remains of his latest meal into its respective grave, Jasper allows himself to think clearly. Two weeks, it feels like centuries, but the truth is that it's only been two weeks since we, the Cullens, packed up and left Forks. They haven't been the same since, if you were to ask him where the hell we are right now, I wouldn't be able to give you the answer, not that I'm stupid or anything, it's just I simple don't give a damn. It's confusing at how much leaving Forks has effected him, even when Jasper is not absorbing the emotions of those around him, and despite his efforts He can't pinpoint the reason as to why. All He knew for sure is the actions and feelings of those around him.
Carlisle, has taken to spending every believable hour at the hospital, and when he isn't there, he takes Esme away somewhere. Jasper has only truly seen and spoken to him twice since our departure from Forks, and both counts were followed by hunting not long after our very short conversations. His emotions are a never-ending cocktail of nauseousness, disappointment and anger at himself and for what might possibly be the first time he knew of in Edward.
Esme, she spends most of her time fawning over blue prints for buildings. A dangerous sense of déjà vu running through her, my only guess is the cocktail of her emotions, whilst being the same as Carlisle just to herself, remind Esme vividly of her lost son. Esme's depression seems to have returned ten fold, and this time is so much worse as being vampires they feel things so much stronger.
Emmett, his laid-back brother is swimming in the sting of sadness, guilt and betrayal. Bella was the perfect little sister to him, and now he has been forced to give her up with very little fight. Why is that? Jasper has never known the teddy bear to feel this level of anger towards anyone, let alone Edward. Normally Emmett just feels rather irritated, but that mainly happens when Edward and Alice have one of their silent conversations. Which now that I think about it, seems to be happening more and more.
As Jasper heads back home, he thinks about Rosalie. The most surprising, she is sad. But still incredibly angry, at Edward though that's not much of a surprise. Four days after we left he spoke to Rosalie about it, and she actually liked Bella. Which was rather surprising, especially when he thinks back to how cold his 'twin' was towards her all the time?
