Otori and Hoshitani have just gotten out of school, and were on their way out when a group of girls stopped them. Apparently they were old friends of Hoshitani, and saw the play.
They congratulated him then they started talking about old times, and what they're doing now. Otori shook his head, then leaned back against a wall, waiting for them to finish. He kept watching Hoshitani though.
Crossing his arms, he watched Hoshitani's expressions. From nervousness, laughing, and smiles, all with a slight blush of embarrassment.
After ten minutes, Otori got fed up, and walked over to them, grabbing Hoshitani's arm. "Excuse me ladies, but we should get going now," he says with a threatening smile.
He runs, dragging Hoshitani with him, leaving the group behind.
Once safely out of sight, in an empty classroom, Hoshitani shook Otori's arm off. "What was that about?" Hoshitani asks.
"You were with them for ten minutes," without looking at me, Otori answers with a pout, expressing the last part silently.
Hoshitani glares, "They were just friends, acquaintances really. There's no need to get upset."
Otori sighs, "It's not just them," he rants, "Why does Ageha, of all people, get to call you by first name when I can't yet? And while I'm glad you get along with Hiragi, sometimes I think you're too close."
Hoshitani realizes immediately, "Are you jealous?"
Otori stares for a bit before lowering his head, "Maybe…a little."
Hoshitani laughs hard, Otori just staring at him, not knowing what to do. After he calms down, Hoshitani smiles, "You're ridiculous! Ageha asked me if he could call me by first name, and I gave him permission. As for Hiragi-senpai… we both are close because of you, you know."
Otori blinks, a slight blush on his cheeks, "Oh…so it's my fault then?"
Hoshitani smiles, "Absolutely, you idiot."
Otori shakes his head. Hoshitani says, "Besides, I sometimes get jealous of how close you are to the other senpai and the Ancients."
Otori blinks in shock, "Really? You get jealous?"
Hoshitani nods, "Yeah. I'm jealous of the fact that they know more about you than I do."
Otori's stares, a fondness in his eyes, "Hoshitani…"
"So, even if you get jealous, other than you," Hoshitani kisses him on the lips, "no one else has ever kissed me."
Otori smiles, "Guess that's one less thing to be jealous of."
Hoshitani hugs him, "You can call me Yuuta if you want."
Otori hugs back, "Call me Itsuki?"
Hoshitani hums, "Sure, Itsuki."
Otori nuzzles his neck, "OK, Yuuta."
Letting go for now, they face each other, "We're both idiots, aren't we?"
Hoshitani laughs, "Yes, but you're my idiot."
Otori smiles, "I can live with that," which causes Hoshitani to snort.
"Still want that coffee?" Hoshitani asks.
Otori nods, "Yes."
Holding hands, they walk out, and go to a coffee shop together. Which is basically a date.
Omake:
When talking, this came up:
"You're a very interesting and mysterious person to me," Otori says as he sipped his coffee.
"I don't know if I'm interesting or anything…" He slightly blushes, "But, it's not that I'm mysterious, it's that no one ever asks. Besides, you're a brilliant enigma to me," Hoshitani says as he sipped his hot cocoa.
Otori raises an eyebrow, "Really now?"
Hoshitani nods, "Yeah. I feel like wanting to solve you, figure you out."
Otori hums, "And if you do?"
Hoshitani smiles, "I might never if you keep surprising me. And even if I do figure you out someday, I like you too much to leave."
Otori smirks, "You like me, how much exactly?"
Hoshitani blushes, "A lot…more than a friend… I don't know!"
Otori laughs, "Shall we figure it out together then?"
Hoshitani nods shyly, holding Otori's hand under the table, Otori squeezing in reassurance.
