Zack smiled sadly, turning the white feather in his hand. A sob trapt itself in his throat as he let himself gaze up at the sky.
"Embrace your dreams, huh?" he whispered, "I can't."
It almost made him laugh with the irony as it began to rain. The water slid through his unruly spikes, almost like the man's hand would if he were still around. Some droplets ran over his face and down his neck. He let out of quiet sob.
"Angeal," he whimpered, "come back to me, please!" He stood to scream at the sky now. "Those wings, I want them too! Why can't you take me with you?"
He could even hear the thunder rumble in the distance.
"Why did you just leave me here?" He demaned, "I'm so alone! I can't do this without you."
Zack could have sworn he heard Angeal's voice whispering in the wind, gently reprimanding and strongly soothing.
"You're not alone." He murmured, "there is more to this, I know." His voice joked softly before begining again, "you can make it out Zack, you will live to tell."
"Tell what!"He cried, "I can't tell Cloud to embrace his dreams if I can't even do it myself!"
Angeal's voice did not respond, more rain swept at Zack.
"Angeal, please!" He cried, nearly screaming so loudly at the rain whipping around.
"You're not alone." Came the response through the air, fiercly whipping around Zack. The 1st class SOLDIER let out a sob as the feather was taken away from him.
"Angeal!"
"You're not alone..."
"Please, come back!"
"You're not alone."
He chased the feather, falling to his knees to sob pitifully.
"I loved you..." he sobbed, "I loved you so much, Angeal."
