It was Halloween night. My friends and I were trick or treating. This was the first time we would be going out to do that alone. We were on the last block, which was my street, and my friends dared me to go into the Mcgavells House. The Mcgavells House
was an old and abandoned building at the end of my street. Many believed it to be haunted and others were just angry at the government for letting it stay standing that long for people to believe that. "If u don't go in will tell all the other kids at
school what a sissy you are, Taylor."one kid told me. I started up the creaky old steps because I knew as soon as I touched the doorknob the other kids would bolt. I reach the porch, which wascovered in cobwebs. I reached my hand for the doorknob
when all of a sudden the door flew open. I heard all of the kids running away but my curiosity took over. I slowly entered the house. I entered into a dark and dusty entryway. Under the stairs I saw a scroll in a frame. I walked over to it. It said,
" The Mcgavells Prophecy: The first to enter the house of flesh and blood will become..." I couldn't read anymore because I heard a noise coming down the hall from where I would guess the kitchen was. I had had enough adventure for one day
so I slowly backed away towards the door. I spun around to see it closed. I yanked at the handle but it was locked. I heard footsteps coming from the kitchen toward me until they stopped right in front of me. I turned my head to see a pasty white ghoulish
figure with black eyes staring straight into mine. I screamed as the door finally gave way and I ran back home. I never went near that house or trick or treating ever again.
Leave me a review and ask me if you guys would like to read a sequel. This is not too bad horror story but this is what you would read to the little kids to get them scared.
