Simple shorts depicting a world in which Ozpin and Glynda Goodwitch move to a small town and open a café/coffee shop.
"I'm telling you," Glynda said once she was at the edge of her nerves. "This is insane, maybe we should sue?"
"If we don't open today," Ozpin was setting the tables and chairs, as she was polishing the last of the dishes. "We'll never open... Besides, they just forgot to bring eggs - we can make do until tonight, right?"
It was seven o'clock in the morning of their 'grand opening'.
"And what if someone orders breakfast?" Glynda asked.
"Then you'll just have to make them some of your world famous pancakes!" Ozpin answered with a winning pose and smile.
"It doesn't matter how famous my pancakes are..." Glynda sighed. "I need eggs to make them."
"Really?"
"Yup."
"Huh," Ozpin replied thoughtfully. "Then how about this? If we really need eggs I'll just go out and get some."
Ozpin did not wait for an answer - or permission, for that matter - and flipped the open/close sign to reflect his thoughts on the condition of their brand new cafe.
The Morning Beacon... It was their dream.
"Fine, but none of that convenience store trash," Glynda pointed a spoon at him, accusingly. "Get the eggs from the Port's farm."
"But that's on the other side of town... It's twenty minutes, by car."
"Exactly."
Ozpin made a big show out of thinking about it, but was cutoff when the door burst open, revealing one of the local high school girls.
At about a meter and a half, the girl had short orange hair, blue eyes, and an ecstatic grin on her face.
"Howdy-neighbors!" The girl came in and began to show her enthusiasm through speech. "I'm-Nora,-Nora-Valkyrie!-My-father-owns-the-sports-shop-next-door.-It's-really-cool-and-awesome-someone-is-finally-doing-something-with-this-place!-Do-you-have-pancakes?"
Nora took a triumphant pose as she finished pelting words at the couple, and after a few moments of silence, continued - though at a normal pace. "Ohh, and a coffee, please?"
Another moment of silence - broken by Ozpin this time, who looked at his wife and asked rhetorically. "So I guess I'll go get the eggs?"
Afterword:
Good thing Glynda had a few eggs on their apartment (located above the café), which she took out after her husband left. XD
