Poem Act 2 Sc. 2
The sky is a blushing maiden with deep pink cheeks,
And her giggles seem to echo throughout the land.
While the maiden whispers in a soft tone of love,
A man is climbing over castle walls.
His mind set on seeing his own angelic beauty. 5
The vines surrounding the castle walls grab at the man,
Their claw-like hands try to hold the man down,
But an invisible sword from the angels of love cuts the vines.
After doing this the angels above keep silent,
For fear of being discovered. 10
The flowers in the garden have eyes and dance about in delight.
The roses quiver their lips in excitement,
And the lilies stretch out their arms to embrace each other.
Then a beautiful woman enters the garden,
Her presence lights the way of the darkest tunnel. 15
The man looks up and sees his angel and sees her speak.
His angel is as beautiful and radiant as the sun,
Yet the man knows he is unworthy to look at this sun.
Then the angel talks of the man until he knows of nothing except her,
Until the man forgets of all worries because nothing can bother him again. 20
The man and woman meet each other and the garden springs to life.
The couple embrace and lock together in a perfect fit,
They are intertwined as one human being and one soul.
Their vows of love are whispered into each other's ears,
These vows are also shouted into the wind so the vows can be carried. 25
The couple unlock and their flesh seems to tear from each other,
For now either the man or woman can never be full without each other.
They depart as soul mates and their love still rings in their ears like a bell.
Their eyes glisten like beautiful jewels as their hands touch for the last time.
And as they depart the garden hushes itself as they quietly watch. 30
