HARUHI'S POV

"Haruhi, can I talk to you about something?" The younger Hitachiin asked.

Haruhi turned to face the younger twin, surprised that he wanted to ask about something.

"What is it?" She replied back, smiling reassuringly at the red head.

"I-I've been thinking about confessing to this person…"

"Really? No way! Who's the lucky girl?" I couldn't believe that Kaoru actually liked someone.

Kaoru instantly stiffened at the simple question.

"W-well, y-you see..." Kaoru's ears were turning a scarlet red.

"T-this person isn't a girl…" He trailed off.

My smile was plastered to my face.

"H-huh…? What do you mean?"

I started to laugh mechanically.

"I-I like…"

I leaned in unconsciously.

"Hikaru."

My entire mind just stopped.

D-Did he just say that? How could he fall in love with his own brother?

"W-What?"

"I've liked him for a long time and I've been thinking about telling him th-"

*SLAP*

"How could you even think that way about your own brother?"

"What are you, SICK?"

"GET. OUT. OF. HERE!" I screamed at the already trembling redhead.

Kaoru then got up and ran out of the room.

HIKARU'S POV

I was walking down the hall to the host club's club room when suddenly a redheaded boy came running towards me. He bumped into me and we both landed on the floor with a thud. He was sobbing horribly.

Wait.

Isn't this Kaoru? Why's he crying?

Kaoru was in the middle of mumbling a small sorry when he looked up into my eyes. His eyes widened. His tears started to fall even harder.

"Kaoru, calm down, and tell me what happened. Hey…Kao?"

He just buried his face into my chest.

I wrapped my arms protectively around him, but I think that just made him worse.

I felt horrible. I couldn't do a single thing to make him feel better.

"Hey, hey…Shh…it's okay, it's okay. I've got cha' Kao, I've got cha'," I hugged him tighter into my chest.

If I ever find who did this to my Kaoru I swear I'll-

"H-Hikaru…"

I looked down at Kaoru, "What is it?"

He buried his face deeper into my chest and said

"I'm in love with you. Not the way you think I am. It's more than just love as a brother. I mean I really am in love with you. I know you feel disgusted in me right now and I swear I'll stay away from you I just needed to sa-"

I cut him off with a kiss.
