Chapter 1 : The Misson
"Skye, May and Bobbi will secure the device while the rest us will cover them" Coulson said :Any questions" Lance raised his hand
"Yes"
"Is it lunch time yet"
Coulson sighed they weren't taking this mission seriously. Coulson had just received a call from fury about a dangerous artifact. Its reading were really high. In fact he had only seen reading like those once. He shut his eye trying not to remember what happened in New York." He stood up "This isn't anything like we've seen before, it's clearly dangerous and- "You say that about everything" Skye interrupted. "Well believe me when I say this is the most dangerous, if Hydra gets there hand on this weapon… well we know what they're capable of" He looked around the room, everyone knew who he was talking about. Wards Betrayal still rung fresh in their minds. It was true that they had worked together to rescue Lincon and Mike Peterson he was still a monster as far as any one of them any one of them except Jemma, she couldn't tell them the horrible truth, that Grant Ward murderer, traitor had spared her, even though she was about to kill him. Some truths are better left unspoken. Especially Fitz, although he as recovering from that fall it was clear he still had a long way to go.
"Hopefully there won't be any Hydra members there, and if there is Skye can just use her Quake powers" Fitz said happily. Skye smiled "I still don't know the full extent of my powers so I should limit the use" Skye had just gotten back from 'Afterlife' she had left in good terms, thankfully she thought her mother wouldn't take it well but strangely she was pretty chill.
"Now get some sleep, You're goanna need it" Coulson said
"Okay people here's what we now strange thingy, dangerous, avengers retrieve well that about sums it up" Tony Stark said. Steve Rodgers sighed this was going to take forever "Now this mission is going to be dangerous possibly fatal but remember whatever were doing, were doing for the good of mankind" His team mates looked at him "That's wonderful but have you even contacted fury and asked him" Natasha asked. Steve rubbed his chin "Fury still in hiding, I haven't been able to contact him Ultron was destroyed".
"Nevertheless my friend we must go see what this mystical object is. It might be of some importance" The god of thunder had just gotten back from Asgard. After the Vison he had he decided to go check if everything was all right. All seemed fine but Odin was acting a little different. He had decided it was just form tiredness.
"Where is this thing anyway?" Hawkeye asked. Steve looked at the file he had gotten "Um, Canada"
"Ehhhh so were going to the land of maple syrup and snow….. When are we leaving?" Stark asked
Steve Looked out the window dramatically "Tomorrow"
