Hi! Thanks for reading! This is a response to the popular prompt by SarahInPrint. I'm sure you've heard it but here are the rules anyway.
Booth proposes to Brennan after everything works out with Pelant.
Less than 2,000 words
No mention of Pelant
Christine is not physically in the story (she may be mentioned but not present)
Involves a unique ring
I may break rule three but I'm not really a rule follower.

Everyone was huddled on the platform. Booth and others had gone out to get Pelant, but they had not gotten any information since they left. They were waiting for a call. The silence is broken when suddenly the glass doors of the lab slide open and in comes Booth. Angela, Hodgins, Cam, Wendall, Daisy, Sweets, Arastroo, Finn, and Brennan look up.
"We got him."
Booth's statement was simple but life changing.
Everyone starts to celebrate and talk, except for Brennan. Standing in the middle of the platform, her eyes are locked on Booth's. He makes his way to the platform, sliding his card. They never lost eye contact. Everyone gets quiet, staring at them. Neither seem to notice.
Once he makes his way over to her, he takes her hand. The lab was as still as it was before he came in.
"I promised you. And I keep my promises."
Everyone else was confused, but Brennan seemed to understand what he meant.
"Oh Booth." She said.
"I never want to hurt you again. You are my everything. My partner, my best friend, the mother of my child, the woman I love… and I really want you to be one more thing. My wife."
Nobody moves. Angela gasped, but it goes unnoticed.
Booth gets down on one knee and pulls out a little velvet box. "So Temperance Brennan, will you do that. Will you marry me?" He opens the box to show the most beautiful ring in the world. A blue diamond, Temperance blue, Booth would say, surrounded by tiny little clear diamonds making it look like a flower.
Brennan looks at the ring and back at his chocolate brown eyes. "Yes." She breaks into a huge grin. "Yes, yes, yes! I would love to be your wife." She pulls Booth into a tight hug, then into a passionate kiss.
They break for air and Booth puts the ring on her finger. When everyone starts clapping they realized they are being watched.
"OH MY GOD! MY BEST FRIEND IS GETTING MARRIED!" Angela shrieks. She runs up to hug Brennan.
Once the couple gets their rounds of congratulations, the gang head off to the Founding Fathers. The celebration lasts 2 hours, and the entire time neither Booth nor Brennan can stop smiling.
