"Logan, where is mommy now?" I asked.

My brother turned to me, then bent down at looked me in the eyes. "She's in heaven now."

"Where's that?"

"No where we can go." He stood back up. "Yet, I hope."

I heard the door open. It was Walter, my mother's dearest friend. He looked tired and a little sad. He noticed Logan and me and walked to Logan. I ran up to him and grabbed his large hand. Walter gave a dim smile and lifted me up.

"I think you should prepare your speech...For the wake." he said.

"What's a wake?" I questioned, leaning on Walter's chest.

"I'll answer that later." Walter looked at Logan. "I think you both should get some sleep."

Logan went to his room, and Walter carried me to mine. When we arrived to the large room filled with dolls of heroes, storybooks and my mum's autobiographies. Walter let me get dressed behind the screen into my warm white nightgown and tucked me in. He sat on chair, reading me the story of how my mother killed a white balverine. But then I remembered something.

"Walter, can I ask you a question?" I spoke up.

"Yes Rose?" He replied shutting the book.

"What's heaven like? Will mother like it there?"

Walter took a big sigh, then closed his eyes. "It's a beautiful, bright place, I hear."

"Is it warm, Walter? Mum hates the cold." I questioned.

"I suppose it is, with lots of flowers." Walter opened his eyes. "And she'll have lots of friends there already."

I sat up. "Like who, Walter?"

"Your father went there, but you were still a baby then. So she'll have him." Walter said with a smile.

"I hope she tells him about me."

Walter laughed slightly. "I don't see a reason why not. And her old dog will be there too. Garth and Hammer too."

"Not Reaver?"

"He won't be there anytime soon."

I turned my head and laid back down. "Will she come and visit?"

"No." Walter said standing up.

I looked down. Why wouldn't she? Didn't she love me and Logan? Her kingdom? I felt something wet on my cheek, I realized I was crying. I tried to hold it in, but it just wouldn't stop.

"Please don't cry, Rose." Walter said wiping my tears away.

"Why can't she visit?" I cried quietly.

Walter hugged me tightly, gently patting my back. "Well, technically no. She will visit. She'll come see you in your dreams."

That felt better. I felt the tears stop flowing, I let go of Walter and smiled.

"I bet she'll visit you tonight if you sleep." Walter told me.

I nodded my head happily. He re-rucked me in and kissed my forehead.

"Goodnight Walter."

"Goodnight Rose."

He blew out the candles amd closed the door. And mother visited me.
