Here's my thought of what Esteban think of Mendoza when he left them at the end... I do not own any characters of the mysterious cities of gold!!
Esteban's POV
Mendoza… It is hard for me to leave you… After all we've been through, all thoses aventures we had… You've been there for me when I needed someone
who could support me. Leaving Barcelona was hard, but leaving you is harder. Gold was the only goal in your eyes when we met, but I know that you
learned to get to know us and learn how really family is and how much we must support and help each other in any circumstances. Even during the time
Zia and Tao didn't trusted you, I knew deeply inside that I could always trusted you. No matter how much you wanted to reach the mysterious cities of
gold, I knew that the adventures were palpitating for you. You liked despite everything, to discover the new continents, to enrich your knowledge and to
become a better navigator. I know we will see each other soon, But I wish I could tell you ... You were more than a friend to me. You were like a father to
me. You protected us, saved us and earned my respect for you. I promise... I will tell you everything I ever wanted to say to you when Tao,Zia and I will
be back in Barcelona,after we searched and reached the 6 others mysterious cities of gold. Until then, Mendoza... Keep a weather eye on the horizon...
Hope you liked it =) ! It was short, but everythings is said ! I always thought Esteban thought that Mendoza was like a father to him. In everyway, he protected him like his own child.
