"Nothing's left! No one is here. Not Terrador, Volteer, Cyril, or Ignitus," Spyro said with misery. He had just ran through the temple about three times in search of the guardians, with no luck at finding them.
"Spyro, calm down! They must be around here somewhere," said Cynder, although she was almost panicking herself.
That didn't calm Spyro down at all. Actually it had just made him more angry. They just aren't listening! They were like a family to me! But they don't seem to care.
"Um... Spyro? Spyyyyroooooo? SPYRO!," yelled Sparx
"What?," Spyro said to him with pure venom in his voice.
"Hey buddy, normally I would say that you need to calm down think, but first you should take your anger out over there," Sparx said, pointing over toward the front of the temple.
Over there stood about fifteen boss apes, all standing in black clothes. But there was also something else... something different.
"Wait, I think they have something with them," Spyro said, his anger turning into curiosity.
"It looks almost like ice over there. And over there... wait! I think that it's the guardians," said Cynder.
"Or it could be a trap. I mean, think about it. Wouldn't they be fighting," asked Sparx.
"Remember when we rescued them," said Spyro.
"Yeah, but this is different. Spyro, buddy, I don't think we could beat them, and by we I mean you because I'm sitting this one out and I don't think you want the She-dragon of Terror fighting with you."
"I don't care what you do, I'm at least going to try to save them. We have to! They would do the same thing for us."
"Is that a statement or a question? If it's a question then I don't think they would. I mean, when's the last time you saw them in action?"
"They always are! Just not in the way you expect it!"
"Yeah well, they don't exactly look in action right now."
"You aren't even going to try to save them?!"
"Honestly buddy, I don't think they're worth saving."
That had just crossed the line. Spyro knocked Sparx into the nearest rock with his tail, knocking him unconcious.
"Spyro! Why did you do that? Look at what those apes are doing," said Cynder.
The apes were stabbing the Guardinas with swords that had golden handles.
Spyro made up his mind right then. He was going to fight them, and nothing was going to stop him.
