Kuki let the rock music flow through her as it came on the radio. Being a teenager was awesome. She danced around her room and sang along.
As the time moved towards 6:30 she gradually got dressed and ready for school. It was a pain to get up so early every morning. Being at school by 7 for band was horrible. But it was her choice. She turned off the radio grabbed her flute and her backpack and headed towards the door where she would wait for her ride.
Wally barely got up in time, again. He rushed around his room and found some decent clothes, threw them on, and almost forgot his trombone. He and Kuki were the only ones who'd joined band out of their friends. And by getting up early, they were paying the price.
Finally he jumped in the car and started towards Kuki's house like he did every morning to give her a ride.
As band class ended Kuki and Wally walked together to their honors precalculus class. Some made fun of them and always asked if they were married yet. As always they both blushed and moved on. It would take a hurricane for them to admit their love for each other!
