A Night in the Garden

T'was the first night of festival,

The savior was sold,

To the high priest of the Jews,

for a few coins of gold.

When out in the garden

Of Gethsemane

The savior was praying,

"Father, spare me."

The disciples asleep,

Instead of awake,

And the soldiers of Rome

With Judas, the fake.

Betrayed our savior had been

Condemned to the cross

We must pay for our sins

Jesus paid the cost.

That we may not have fear

Of sin or of death

Or the powers of the devil

For with his last breath

He asked the Father above

To forgive what we'd done

Preparing to fight Satan,

Devil versus Son

Three days amongst the dead,

Before that bright Easter morn.

What a glorious day!

The savior reborn!
