All her life, Analiese Runier had depended on people to feel safe. At first her brothers and then after joining the trainee corps, Erwin Smith and Mike Zakarius.
The world they lived in was a cruel and unforgiving one filled with constant heartache and death, unless of course you were lucky enough to live within the confines of Wall Sina, or if you were "skilled" enough to join the Military Police. But if you weren't one of the lucky few, you couldn't afford to get attached to people, they could be gone in the blink of an eye. Analiese swore she'd never get attached again, but it wasn't something she could control.
Growing up Analiese had always aspired to be apart of the Military Police, alongside her eldest brother Ansel. People had always said that Analiese and Ansel closely resembled each other, with dark blonde hair and similar personalities, almost like twins rather than two siblings almost 10 years apart.
When Ansel graduated from the trainee corps he ranked 4th and, without hesitation, joined the Military Police.
The second eldest brother of Analiese's was Anson. He resembled their father, a tall, dark haired man.
Unlike Ansel, Anson ranked 10th in his class and joined the stationary guard. Soon after joining he met a wealthy young woman from Sina and lost contact with his family.
The youngest of the brother's was Anatole, who resembled neither parents. Unlike his elder brothers, Anatole did not join the trainees, and one night while out drinking with friends, he was stabbed to death and died at the age of 16.
Analiese was the youngest and only daughter of her parents. But they passed away soon after the girls birth and she was put under the care of her brothers, who were extremely protective. Ansel was the primary caregiver until he became of age and left to join the trainees, and so care was passed down to Anson, who soon enough followed in his brothers footsteps and joined the trainees. It was then that Analiese and Anatole were left to fend for themselves at two very young ages. They barely managed to get by until Anatole's death, setting forth Analiese's decision to join the trainees, as she had no other way to survive, and so following in the footsteps of her two eldest brothers.
