Author's note: This is a rolling girl one shot I based on multiple translations. This is my first story, and I hope you like it. English is not my first language and it isn't beta'd so all mistakes are mine. I'm a beginning writer and I'm not sure about my writing, so feedback is welcome. I don't own anything. Enjoy and please review!

She sat behind her desk as paper and spitballs hit her in the head. Her eyes watered, but she didn't turn around. They only enjoyed it when you showed weakness. She learned about that the hard way. She knew why they did it though; they did it because she was different. She was different and therefore unworthy of being treated like a human being. She knew, but she didn't understand. So what if her hair was teal and everybody else's was black? So what if her eyes were blue? He teacher droned on and on when she heard an interesting word. Test. The tears really threatened to fall when she got her test back. Her grade was a D. What wouldn't her parents think? 'See? You failed AGAIN!' The voices in her head tell her. They are right. She can't ever succeed in anything. Not in school, not in making friends, not in singing. "There's no problem" she whispers to herself. The words come out easily, but she doesn't recall their meaning. She knows what she has to do now. School is over and she runs. She doesn't even bother to go home, why would she? She runs and runs until she reaches the hills. She raises her hand high and thinks; 'One more time should be enough.' "One more time, one more time, today I'm going to roll just one more time." And she does as she says, and throws herself down the hill. "Are you alright?" She hears all of a sudden. She recognizes the face of a boy in her class, he has pretty eyes. "No, I can't see the future anywhere." She answers truthfully. "So I'm going to hold my breath for now." But instead of her own neck, her fingers reach for his. As soon as she realizes her mistake she pulls her hands back and runs. The first person to be nice to her, and she reacts like this! Oh well, he was from her class so he was probably joking anyway. This realization made her want to cry, but she decided that she didn't care anymore. Everything hurt her, so maybe it would be better if she didn't feel anything.

The weeks went by, and she kept the promise she had made to herself. She didn't care anymore. Colors, voices, faces, words, everything blend into one, and she felt the numbness of the end. "There's no problem" she whispers to herself. The words come out easily, but she knows those words no longer hold meaning. She can't live like this anymore. She stood up and ran, not even caring that she was in the middle of class. She ran and ran towards the hills, not realizing she was being followed until he grabbed her arm. "One more time, one more time, please just let me roll one more time!" She cries out as she pulls her arm back, and throws herself down the hill. "Are you alright?" His voice is the first she recognizes in a long time. "Almost, I think I see the future somewhere, so I'm going to hold my breath for now." Her hands crawl towards her neck, and she tightly closes them around it. She waits for the burning and the dizziness to hit, but it doesn't. Instead she feels two strong arms grab hers and encircle her. She lay limp in his embrace, not understanding the situation. "Are you alright? It's alright now. You must be so sick and tired of all this." She hears him say. She wraps her arms around him and rests her head on his shoulder. "I want to stop breathing right now!"
