A waterfall makes quiet chatter above the small cavern. Kairi puts her hand on a dark cave wall covered in markings. She traces a sketch on the wall; a picture of a boy's face that she once knew, someone special.
Kairi's eyes start to water. "If he is so special to me, why can't I remember him?" She whispers to herself. Kairi closes her eyes as she rummages through her thoughts and memories looking for a name or a reason for him to be important to her. Kairi sighs after nothing comes to her. She opens her eyes and leaves the cave. Kairi shields her eyes as the bright sun comes into sight. A boy in a black coat runs in front of her.
"Sora?" Kairi asks herself. She is surprised at how easily the name came to her. Although besides the name, her memory of him stays blank. She has to learn why, and this may be the only time she has to find answers.
Kairi reacts quickly and runs after the boy who is only a step ahead. She grabs his arm. The cloaked boy almost falls down from the unexpected halt.
"Who are you? Why can't I remember?" Kairi begs him for answers. The boy nervously looks back at her. His blonde hair shimmers in the sunlight. Something is familiar about his ocean blue eyes.
The boy avoids eye contact as he speaks to her. "Huh? I'm not- you must be looking for someone else. Umm, Bye." The boy yanks his arm out of Kairi's grasp and races off. He disappears behind a palm tree mid-run.
Kairi stands there stunned for a moment by the boy's answer. "But I was so sure…" Kairi talks to herself, "What am I doing stopping people for almost no reason? That guy probably thinks I'm some weirdo." She starts walking down to the beach to her boat.
"Well at least I know the forgotten boy's name. Wait, what was it again?" Kairi face palms. "Darn it, I forgot."
This story takes place during the 358/2 scene where Riku is talking to Xion. Then goes into the scene called Roxas passes by (one of the shortest lame scenes ever XD ). Please review. Harsh critisum and comments greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading =)
