Derek Morgan stumbled off of the jet, weighted down by the last case. Twelve young women murdered before their husbands. They had caught the guy, but did it matter? Twelve men had to watch as the women they loved most in the world died. What was life without love?

A sick feeling rose in the back of his throat and Morgan almost tripped. His eyes dropped from exhaustion. He reached into his pocket, found his keys, and began to fumble with the lock on his car. He cursed when the keys fell through his fingers. Morgan retrieved the keys and attempted to unlock the door again. A cool pale hand covered his own. Morgan turned his head and looked at Garcia.

"I'm going to drive you home." She announced, then explained. "You're so tired. I'm afraid you'll get into an accident. I couldn't bear it if anything happened to you." Garcia put her hand on Morgan's shoulders and guided him to her car.

"Thanks baby girl," he whispered.

"It's no problem. We'd do anything for each other, right?" Garcia smiled at him, and Morgan couldn't resist smiling back.

"Right." He agreed.

Garcia focused her attention on the road, but Morgan couldn't take his eyes off of her. He began to look, really look, at Garcia. Her fluffy blonde hair was in pigtails. Her glasses framed her pretty eyes and her long lashes. Her clothes were, as always, bright and splashy. Today's colour was orange. As he stared, Morgan began to realize what a truly amazing woman his baby girl was. He had always known she was something special, anyone could see that, but he came to the realization that no matter how special he thought she was, she would always be even better than he thought. With this revelation, another one quickly followed. Something that Morgan truly hadn't understood before: his love for her. They had exchanged 'I love you's' before, but it had only been in a friendly way, or so he had thought. Now he knew his love for her was so deep, so pure, that nothing could stop it.

"Here we are."

Morgan was shaken from the deep recesses of his thoughts as Garcia spoke and put the car in park in his driveway.

Morgan looked at her and said, "I love you."

"I love you too," she replied, just like she always did.

Morgan shook his head. "No, I mean I really love you. I love you so much that when I wake up in the morning I want to see you beside me. I want it to be your hand I hold. Your lips I kiss goodnight," he confessed.

Garcia was stunned, but elation quickly overcame that. Finally he had said the words she had always wanted him to say, the words she had dreamed of hearing. "I love you too, and I'll love you until the sun stops shining and the stars fall out of the sky."

Reaching a hand up to cup her cheek, Morgan leaned over and kissed her.
