Mike leaned against a equipment trunk to keep his balance as he waited for his turn to be checked over by the trainers after competing in a hellacious Money in the Bank match that led to John Cena being victorious. He had made his return to the ring that night after a two month hiatus.
Around the corner came Haley Michaels, someone Mike hadn't gotten to know as well as he'd liked too, he knew she was a very sweet girl and had a lot of potential in this business.
"Hey Mike" she greeted, noticing how sore he must be. "Great job out there tonight…I was definitely rooting for ya"
"Thanks Haley, I appreciate that.. Punk did great tonight, be sure to tell him that for me will ya" Mike stated, referring to Haley's champion boyfriend CM Punk, who had retained his title in a triple threat match that same night.
"I will. I'm actually on my way to see him right now." Haley nodded, taking a step toward him she dropped a quick kiss on his cheek and whispered in his ear "by the way, thanks for the flowers, they are beautiful"
The Awesome grinned and watched as the petite brunette walked away, cast a brief glance over her shoulder at him and smiled back at him.
A few minutes later after he had been checked over and cleared by the trainers with no broken bones, only some bruising on his ribs. He was heading toward the locker rooms when Punk and Haley walked past him, he stopped and watched them walk together, Punk's arm over her shoulders as he pressed a quick kiss to the side of her head as they walked to the exit. Maybe someday Haley would have the same feelings for him….someday….
