Misa Amane had invited Light Yagami and Ryuzaki over to her apartment just to hang out for a while and even the two shinigami, Rem and Ryuk, were there. She didn't know where those two were at the moment though. The three of them had talked about many things for some time like her show and even things just going on in general. Light decided to get up and get the three of them something to drink and maybe even some apples for when the shinigami came back. When he was gone, Ryuzaki had looked over at Misa. She looked back at him, not knowing if he was going to say something.
"What is it Ryuzaki?" Misa said with a somewhat confused look.
"I know this might be strange coming from me of all people….but in a way, I kind of wish that I could be like you. You seem so close to other people, and I've never been able to be like that to anyone in my life. To be honest, I'm a little jealous of how you can be so close to others. It seems to be like it is as easy as breathing for you." Ryuzaki said and then slowly turned his head away.
"It's okay Ryuzaki….for some people it's just not that easy. It took me some time to even get used to all of the people that know me from my show, music, and modeling. It just takes some time for people to get used to me too. After all, I do seem kind of obnoxious for some. But others like me for who I am and I'm the same way to them. It just takes time, that's all." Misa said and a smile slowly spread over her face as she told all of this to him.
"Thank you, Misa…..I don't think anyone could explain it as well as you do." Ryuzaki said returning a small smile to her.
Light walked back into the room, drinks in hand and as he sat down he put them on the table.
"So, what did you two talk about while I was gone?" Light asked sounding curious.
"Just something that YOU would never even bother to think about." said Misa flashing a small hint of an evil grin.
Misa scooted over to Light on the couch and put her head on his shoulder which didn't seem to bug him at all. While Light didn't pay any attention, from the corner of her eye, she looked at Ryuzaki and showed a smile that was completely sincere. And from his chair, Ryuzaki looked back at Misa and showed a smile of his own.
