edit: bumped up the rating to M, because I figure maybe it needs that now that I think about it.
I WILL WARN YOU NOW: this is character death and character suicide but I'm only giving it a T rating because it's a very minor mention and it's not gory or any shit like that. don't yell, okay. I think if you're reading this you'll be mature enough for some death of fictional characters that only die behind your computer screen. And there's like two mentions of blood, but very minor and the second one you can take in a character sense or a blood sense, alright? Plus, I don't think this needs an M rating.
Chill.
Pokemon is not mine, GOD.
He was mentioned once before, by a trainer and one of their many friends.
Elesa overheard that this boy - a silent boy, supposedly mute - was the greatest trainer to live. And that he stood on a mountaintop.
Did he freeze? What about his family? Was there a reason he stood there? Was he really mute?
Questions burned in her mind faster than Reshiram's tail burned.
Then the other rumor.
He was coming to Unova, coming here to accept a challenge - a dare, perhaps?
The boy who stirred up motherly worry in her was coming to her region.
Red eyes peered at everything, unusually cold breath could be heard faintly.
He was clearly the center of attention, strange clothes, emotionless face, and a Pikachu on his hat.
(Who clearly looked ready to defend his master.)
A stranger among them all.
This was a dumb challenge. Why did he even accept it?
Because his stubbornness got the best of him.
He almost let out a sigh and continued to walk on.
Days passed.
He met the beautiful model, who always forgot his name, but remembered his secrets.
(The secrets he never told her.)
She learned that his eyes held just secrets.
Not his name.
Because when she awoke in a hospital bed, Skyla at her bedside, her hand holding Elesa's, Skyla telling Elesa the story of how the boy she had met - the one she knows so well, yet does not know at all - had been crushed by the Nimbasa City Ferris wheel trying to save her, Elesa thought she went insane.
She screamed all his secrets as Skya held her, told her that every secret could not matter right now.
But Elesa hated it.
No one could tell her the name of the boy.
The boy she had begun to break in two.
The boy she had caused the death of.
Elesa traveled to his mountaintop, danced in the snow, stood where he stood.
She held the boy's flattened hat and a bloody Pikachu ear, all that was left of the boy and his now deceased Pikachu.
And, as if it were a catwalk, she walked up and down and then off the top, just to feel his arms catch her and the Pikachu climb on her head.
Not a scream was released as she fell, because she felt like he did, felt like the unnamed boy, finally understood his secrets.
And the only thing she could see from here on out was red.
