I wrote this as a break from all of the weird Sci-Fi fics my teacher is having us read. Wow! My first fan fic in a long time! I think for now on when I write they'll probably be one shots.

Disclaimer: I do not own or have created Tsubasa Chronicle.

Summary: Kurogane's random thoughts lead him to thinking about a certain someone.

For the Princess

He had never been one who was female crazy, there where enough problems as is. Females only added to problems. She had always been by his side, always, ever since that horrible accident so many years ago, an accident which had nearly ruined him. It would have it wasn't for her, Tomoyo-Hime. She was supposed to represent the moon, always over shadowed by her sister, the sun. The current queen was not the sun, Tomoyo was. Tomoyo always shined no matter how grim things got. Even if she had been covered and stained with blood, she would still shine above the rest, or at least that's what Kurogane always thought about the princess. She was so much younger then him, young enough to be his kid sister if his parents had been allowed to have any more kids, hell she even resembled his mother in many ways. Was that the reason why he followed her? Was because she resembled his mother? No! That wasn't it! That couldn't be! He truly wanted to protect her, sure they fought but he wanted to protect her with his life.

Her smile, her violet eyes, that long black hair, black as the night. She just radiated out like that, even in the darkness she was still very clearly visible. Why was she the moon? She should have been the sun! Perhaps it was a good thing that she was the moon, he thought as he spotted her walking by him, pausing to give him one of her small smiles. He couldn't help but smile back and hating himself for it. He watched as her smile got bigger and was even surprised when she held out her hand for him to take. That was so un-Tomoyo like! The Tomoyo he knew was precious but at the same time had a dark side to her, very much like the moon. Maybe the moon who supported the sun suited her the best after all. Maybe that was why he always acted the way he did, to get her attention. He shrugged it off since he knew he would never know the reason why he did the things he did around her and even if he did he probably would deny it.

Someone a long time ago, he couldn't remember who had said it but someone with blonde hair once told him that he had loved Tomoyo. For a mere knight to love a princess, the thought insane! 'But…' A thought deep somewhere in the back of his mind as he went to take her hand. 'It's the truth.'
