AN: I thought of this poem when I finished watching Inuyasha. I hope you like it.
What am I
What am I?
That's what I say.
Hoping that one day
Someone will answer what I pray.
I am neither one or the other
Something that is not once looked over.
I am different than most
Having to live like a ghost.
I am called a sin
Something that everyone has deep within.
Born from a union
That was always forbidden.
No one gives me a response
Not even a merely taunt.
They view me as a half breed
One that will never be happy.
Always cold and alone
Never to be shown any warmth.
This curse of mine will never go away
No matter how much I pray.
From my appearance
They only see their resentment.
Knowing right away
They will never give me the time of day.
I wish to change my face
So I will no longer be a disgrace.
A child born of a union
That should have never been living.
So I ask the heavens again
To answer my everlasting question.
That will settle this troubling soul
What am I, that is all I need to know.
