The team was on a case in Florida. They had just caught the unsub, and everyone went back to their hotel rooms to pack. Hotch went to Emily's room. He told her how he felt about her. He loved her and to his surprise she loved him too.

It was today that it all started. She was getting dressed in white. She had something old- a bracelet Hotch gave her, something new- a beautiful, white dress, something borrowed- her mother's anklet, and something blue- a topaz necklace. Hotch wore a new lack tux. Garcia, JJ, and Jessica- Haley's sister- were Emily's bride's maids. Rossi was Hotch's best man, while Morgan and Reid were the ushers. Emily and Aaron said their 'I Do's.' They were so in love.

Less than a month after getting married, things started to change. Hotch started drinking and Emily left the team after discovering she was pregnant.
One night Hotch came home from the bar, drunk to the extreme. He started screaming at Emily for no reason.
"You don't appreciate me!" Aaron shouted opening the door.
"Aaron, what are you talking about?" Prentiss asked, worriedly.
"Everything I do for you, you don't appreciate! You take me for granted! Do you even love me?" Hotch shouted getting closer to her.
Emily backed away. "Aaron, I do love you. What would make you think I don't love you?" She asked not knowing why he was acting this way.
"You don't love me! You never loved me! I should never have married you!" Hotch got even closer. Emily tried to back away, but hit into the wall.
"Aaron, calm down. What are you-" She was cut off when his fist connected with her face.
He punched and kicked her for a few more minutes. He walked upstairs and changed his clothes. Five minutes later, he came back downstairs and took Emily to the car. He brought her to the hospital's ER. He concocted a lie. He said that she had fallen down two flights of stairs.
The nurse walked into Emily's room as she was waking up. She asked what happened and Emily told her that she slipped and fell. The nurse didn't believe her at first. Emily didn't really know what had come over Aaron. She didn't want to tell the nurse what he had done.

The beatings continued for three weeks. On July 2nd, Emily was driven to the hospital again. She was having horrible stomach pains after his last beating. She found out that she had a miscarriage. She was devastated. She had enough of this.

It was a Friday night. Hotch came home late from the bar, again. He was drunk again. It was time to fight. It would be the same as all of the other nights. They would have to make another late night trip to the hospital.
She was getting tired of this routine. She wanted to get a divorce a while ago, but she feared the worst. She thought he would not let her get out alive. When he came through the door, she was ready for him.
He swung at her once, but she ducked. She grabbed his gun from the table. She would finally find out how tough he really was. She fired three shots into him. He fell instantly.
"Haven't you heard don't hit a lady? Never again. Never again. NEVER AGAIN!" She shouted, standing over him.
When she saw his chest fall for the last time, she put the gun back on the table. She walked up to the bedroom. She started packing her bags. She left the house without looking back. Never again would he be able to hurt her.
