Movie Cliché
The slow beeping of the heart monitors was the only sound in the hospital room. The two boys had been sitting in silence for what seemed like hours. Neither had said a word since the blond had arrived. Roxas hadn't even looked at the other boy. The accident had happened two weeks ago. Some idiot drunk decided to drive and had swerved round the corner where Axel had been waiting to cross. Wrong place wrong time?
"Roxas?"Axel broke the silence. "Do you hate me?"
"No. But I do wish that you had told me about it sooner." The younger boy sighed finally meeting his friends' eye.
It had been the first time that they had spoken since Axel had told him about his past. About before they had met. He was shocked when he had found out. He had run. This wasn't the axel he knew. This wasn't his best friend. That had been nearly a month ago.
For another moment there was silence. It wasn't as awkward as had been before. Then the redhead shoved his hand under the pillow of the hospital bed and pulled out a very used notepad. It was nearly full up with Axels' untidy scrawl.
"I want you to take this." He said handing it to Roxas. "It explains everything."
