My first Glee. Not a lot of emotion in this (I don't think) because it is third person. Plus I am not sure I have the best grip on these character's quite yet. Though Kurt... (; He is just fantastic.

'Tis a short one. I wrote it on a whim (after reading plenty of Glee fics) at eleven o' clock before going to bed.

Kurt was on his way to his math class when he heard a thump on the other side of the janitor's closet. He stopped and re-adjusted the bag on his shoulder. He eyed the people around him and none of them were paying him the slightest bit of attention. So he pulled open the door.

Two people tumbled onto the floor, knocking his legs out from under him and sending him sprawling underneath them both. He made a sound of protest and surprise as his butt hit the floor and pain ensued.

Then a groan made him raise his eyes to see Finn raising himself up on his arms. He had a hint of lip gloss on and around his lips. Then Kurt looked at the person who was lying on his legs-which Finn was holding himself up from.

Rachel.

"If you don't mind," he broke the silence. People were staring now. Some with their phones out. Not even a day after finding out the baby wasn't his and Finn was kissing Rachel in a closet.

Finn looked up at him and he forgot what he was going to say. But it did not seem as if he needed to know, because Finn flashed him a small half-smile and stood up. "Sorry Kurt," he helped Rachel up, and then extended a hand to Kurt, but he declined the offer and stood up on his own.

"Yeah," Kurt glanced at Rachel, who had a small smile and dazed expression on her face. She was avoiding Kurt's eyes and seemed interested in the floor.

"You alright?" His eyes went back to Finn, who was scratching the back of his neck. This was where it got even more awkward and Kurt knew that meant for him to leave.

"See you in Glee," he turned without replying and rushed off to class, forgetting one of his books.

---

"Kurt!"

He had been talking to Mercedes about what he had seen. Then he turned to find the object of their conversation looking him in the eye and smiling.

"Yes?" he was in no mood to talk to Finn. Actually, all he wanted to do was leave. Even if it was Glee-he had been holding in tears all day long.

"You dropped this-um-earlier," he gave Mercedes a quick glance and then Kurt a sheepish grin. Then he handed Kurt the book that he had been holding.

"Great," Kurt put it in his bag and then they took their seats for practice to begin.

---

The pillow beneath him was soaked. Well, there was a large wet spot where his eyes had been the past hour.

He did not want to be in love with Finn… it just happened.

Then there was Rachel. So, she had won. Well that shouldn't be a surprise since she was a girl and Finn was straight. But a part of him had hoped… wished… longed for Finn to have a hidden sexuality. Or maybe he would give into him. Share a kiss of comfort. A hug. Anything to get rid of the aching in his chest.

It was a lost dream though. Finn was heterosexual and liked girls. Something Kurt could never be.
