Another sigh.
Silence.
"I love you more than anything else, but I chose this job, and you and I both knew what could happen. Please try to understand."
"I do understand. I understand that you could die on this mission."
"This is no different from any other mission."
"Yes it is. The risks have never been this high before."
Silence.
"You can't just leave us."
Pain, hurt, heart breaking.
"I promise I will come back to the two of you."
"And if you don't?"
Silence.
"If...if I don't...then, you will tell our child how charming, and strong, and how unbelievably handsome I am."
Soft laugh. Small smile.
"I will come back."
"..."
"You can trust me, when I have I ever broken a promise to you?"
"This isn't the same thing."
Chuckle.
"I love the fact that you are so stubborn."
Blush.
"Don't change the subject."
Another chuckle.
"I will come back to take care of you, and I'll be home in time to witness the brith of our baby. I swear."
Tears fall down soft cheeks.
"Don't cry, I'll come home, and everything will be fine."
A Tight hug. A desperate kiss.
"I love you Naruto Uzumaki."
Smile.
