Sepiroth sighed at the beautiful young woman he had just critically injured, he couldn't help it, he was a monster. But just because he was a monster didn't mean he was incapable of love, everyone talks about the Jenovah cells in him like it's the only thing there. News flash, he's a man to, he's a monster, but he's still a man.

He would have given everything to have his firefly love him, it could never happen but he still would have, he'd even give up her live to have her love him, if only for a moment, one fleeting nanosecond of love.

His love for her wasn't wrong was it? No, of course not, everyone is aloud to love, even monsters. However, her loving him back, in the eyes of the people that would be wrong. It's ok for a monster to love but not ok for it to be loved in return. How screwed up is that?

If she loved me back she'd be hunted to, they'd want her blood as much as they do mine. I can't ask that of my firefly, I can't ask her to leave it all behind for me, plus she doesn't love me. She couldn't love the man who had tried to kill her, who had killed her father, who stole her childhood innocence could she? No, she couldn't, she's to good for me, to uncontaminated for me. I'm to tainted, to drenched in blood and despair.

So there, I've accepted my fate, to live my life an unloved monster. I hope life is farer in the lifestream. So just let me say, Tifa, I am sorry firefly…I'm sorry I killed you and the angel. Authors Notes: the last paragraph will make sense if you read, Why the demon kills. And I'm sure your dieing to know why he calls her firefly huh? I have no answer, its just someone that popped into my head :p
